The Spammers Win
Folks, I had to put the word verification into play on my comments. It seems our pretty little world of friendly blogging has been invaded by...well, I'm tempted to use strong language to describe them, but I don't suppose any of you need any elucidation in that regard from me. In any event, I'm sorry to make it one step more difficult to leave comments on my blog, but it has become necessary to keep the bad elements at bay. Good day.

Sorry about the infestation of spammers. Sorry above all, that there are those who have that need. I'm certain that all or us who are your friends will bear up under the strain.
Yeah.. I had to go that way too... I was simply deleting the one or two a day... but one day this week there were several dozen!
Somehow though... I'll manage to type the extra few characters!!
Yeah, no problem. I've noticed it happening more and more lately too.

I know that some businesses are setting up blog sites, and I'm sure some of them are shady. I wonder if hackers are using their blogger accounts as zombies to constantly spam us...we poets and gentle souls, ill equipped for such abuse...(grin)
